NOTE: storico CD che finalmente propone per la prima volta in resa sonora perfetta il famoso ed insolito spettacolo del 19 agosto 1974 a Las Vegas, quello durante il quale Elvis stravolse la scaletta.
La Fort Baxter ci ha davvero fatto un altro "regalo" dopo "Just pretend" ! Grande show: peccato che fin dal giorno seguente Elvis rientri nella routine della solita tracklist.
Questo concerto sarà poi riproposto nella stessa resa sonora (anche se un pochino migliore) nel doppio CD pirata del 1996 "From Sunset Boulevard... To paradise Road" e nel suo "tarocco" "Las Vegas Hilton Hotel" del 2005.
In passato vide la luce per la prima volta nel vinile "Big boss man" per poi essere riproposto, sempre in resa sonora amatoriale, nel 1992 nel CD "Down In The Alley".

NOTE: audience recording che offre lo spettacolo di mezzanotte del 20 agosto 1970 a Las Vegas con interessanti brani come "Ave Maria" in medley con "I got a woman", un accenno di "More", una grande "Tiger man" ed una ilare "Suspicious minds". Il pezzo forte resta, però, l'inedito assoluto "Sweet inspiration".
Bello spettacolo, quindi; peccato che la resa sonora non sia delle migliori.
Il concerto sarà poi ripubblicato ma migliorato nel sound nel gennaio 2004 dalla label ceca "Memory Records" in "A Bright Midnight With Elvis".
Da segnalare anche un'altra edizione di questo concerto, nel 1994 ma sempre con audio scarso, nel CD "Standing Room Only".

L'unica sorpresa è "Bridge over troubled water" come canzone finale al posto della classica "Can't Help Falling in Love" che viene interrotta dallo stesso Elvis.

NOTE: questa audience recording riporta lo spettacolo di Baltimore del 29 maggio 1977.
Questo concerto è famoso in quanto Elvis, dopo il medley "Teddy bear/Don't be cruel", lasciò il palco per farvi poi ritorno dopo oltre 20 minuti nel mezzo della presentazione della band da parte di Charlie Hodge. Appena ritornato sul palco, Elvis si scusò dicendo che la Natura lo aveva chiamato... Il pubblico era stupefatto ed Elvis sembrava sentire la loro delusione mista a stupore tanto che iniziò ad eseguire le restanti canzoni sempre più energicamente, addirittura chiedendo alla gente che cosa volessero sentire.
Si tratta di uno dei più bassi punti della carriera di Elvis; la gente uscì dall'arena guardandosi incredula. Circola voce che Elvis, dopo questo spettacolo, collassò in ascensore.
Ad ogni modo, il suono di questo CD è molto scarso ma si tratta dell'unico prodotto che riporta il concerto.

Scusarti ? Scherzi ?! Ogni intervento è il benvenuto: arricchisce questo argomento.
Hai ragione. Ma si tratta di un CD-r e non un bootleg "factory" (quelli stampati come i CD tradizionali e non masterizzati).
Quindi, essendo un CD masterizzato homemade, non è considerato fra i tradizionali bootlegs.
Si tratta di un altro mondo pirata a parte del quale, tra l'altro, è davvero impossibile tenere conto delle uscite anche perché la distribuzione è limitatissima addirittura a poche decine di copie (tra l'altro le rese sonore di questi CD sono, a dir poco, infime !).

NOTE: altro CD soundboard della Fort Baxter che, per la prima volta, ci offre la possibilità di ascoltare il bellissimo spettacolo del 20 marzo 1974 a Memphis, edito a suo tempo dala RCA in "Elvis recorded live on stage in Memphis" ma in forma incompleta.
La casa "madre" all'epoca tagliò parecchi dialoghi, la presentazione della band e le canzoni "All Shook Up", "Steamroller Blues", "Teddy Bear/Don't Be Cruel", "Love Me Tender", "Fever", "Polk Salad Annie" e "Suspicious minds". Molto probabilmente questo scempio avvenne per fare stare tutto su un solo disco.
La Fort Baxter ha pubblicato questo bootleg in un cardboard sleeve (cartoncino) e non nel classico jewel case trasparente.
Esiste anche una ristampa del 1995 (in jewel case)con la back cover bianca e non rossa ma soprattutto con un grossolano errore sul dischetto poiché c'è scritto che il CD s'intitola "If you talk in your sleep", un altro bootleg della Fort Baxter !
Questo concerto sarà poi riproposto dalla FTD in resa sonora perfetta nel CD del 2004 "Elvis recorded live on stage in Memphis" (8287660987-2).
